  • Co-founder and Chief AI Advisor

    Alán is internationally recognized for his contributions at the interface of quantum information, machine learning and chemistry. He is a full professor at the University of Toronto and is also the Canada 150 Research Chair in Theoretical Chemistry and a CIFAR AI Chair at the Vector Institute. Alán is the director of the Acceleration Consortium, a strategic initiative at the University of Toronto, that received a $200M grant in 2023 from the Canada First Research Excellence Fund. He is the co-founder of Zapata Computing and Kebotix Inc.

  • Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer

    Christine is a world-renowned scientist, entrepreneur and recognized leader in drug development. She is a full Professor at the University of Toronto and internationally recognized for her research, with more than 160 publications. She has received numerous career awards and is a fellow of the American Institute for Medical and Biological Engineering, Canadian Academy of Health Sciences, Controlled Release Society (CRS), and the Canadian Society for Pharmaceutical Sciences (CSPS). She has held senior leadership roles including president of scientific societies, namely CRS (2022 - 2023) and CSPS (2020 – 2022), Vice-President Ecosystem Development at adMare Bioinnovations (2022 – 2023, one year leave from University of Toronto) as well as leadership roles in the university: Associate Vice-President and Vice Provost Strategic Initiatives at UofT (2019 – 2022) and Interim Dean, Leslie Dan Faculty of Pharmacy (2018 – 2019). Christine is a co-founder and serves on the board of Nanovista Inc.

  • Co-founder and Chief Scientific Officer

    Pauric has extensive experience leading the design and development of innovative drug delivery platforms. He was most recently the Director of Research and Partnerships for Christine’s research group. Pauric has worked as a senior formulation scientist in the biotech industry, authored dozens of research articles, and is an inventor on several formulation technology patents.

  • Co-founder and Director of Research and Development

    Riley completed his doctoral research in Alán’s research group at the University of Toronto. He is an expert in applied mathematics, software development, machine learning and robotics. Riley has developed autonomous experimentation systems to rapidly identify material technologies to combat major societal problems.
